Tart apples ice3/1/2024 Prick the bottom of the pastry shell with a fork (this stops the bases puffing up and rising a lot when baking). Using a sharp knife, trim off the excess pastry, gathering the offcuts and rewrapping them to store for another baking project. Carefully lift the pastry and place it in the tin, pushing it into the corners and fluted edges. Dust a work surface with a little flour and roll out the pastry rectangle until an inch or so larger all round than the base of the pastry tin. First, preheat the oven to 180C/350F whilst preparing the pastry for baking. Step 3: Once the dough has chilled, it is time to line the tart tin. At this point, you can freeze the dough for another day, if desired. Shape the pastry into a long rectangle, wrap tightly in cling film and pop in the fridge to chill for at least 30 minutes. Squeeze it to bring together, try to avoid kneading and working it too much or the pastry will end up being tough. Step 2: Tip out the dough onto a clean work surface and gather it together. Add in the ice water a little at a time until the pastry dough comes together in clumps. Tip in the egg yolks and blend again until just combined. Ensure no large chunks of unblended butter remain or it will speckle the pastry when rolled out. Add in the cold butter and cut or blend in until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Step 1: In a food processor or a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour and sugar. However if, like me, you want to make your own pastry, keep reading! If you have bought pre-made pastry dough, you will need to roll it out, line the tin and bake according to package instructions. If you have chosen to use ready made shop bought pastry, skip this stage completely. You can, if you wish, buy ready made shortcrust pastry from the store, but homemade is always better in my opinion! Once the shortcrust pastry shell has been baked, fill it with caramel (tinned or homemade), top with apple roses and bake until the apples are soft and delicious. How to make apple caramel tartsįirst, you will need to make and bake the pastry shell. Mandoline slicer *: a useful tool to help slice the apples into beautiful thin slices, helping make it easier to roll them into beautiful apple roses.Apple corer*: used to remove the core of the apples before slicing them for the apple rose tart.Rectangular tart tin*: to make the caramel apple tart in.If you do not have a rolling pin, get creative! A tall glass or even a wine bottle works well too! Rolling pin* : for rolling out the pastry.Sieve*: useful to remove lumps from the dry ingredients before blending everything together when making pastry. It is a small baking investment, but worth it for the consistency and accuracy of measuring ingredients out. Measuring spoons*: for smaller quantities of measurement such as tablespoons (tbsp) or teaspoons (tsp). However, I do provide volume (cup) measurements too if this is your preference when baking. Digital kitchen scales*: weighing out ingredients when baking rather than measuring by cups is my recommendation always.Food processor*: a brilliantly quick way to make the pastry, and my preferred way for speed and convenience. What equipment do I need to make caramel apple tart? Apples: I would recommend using a tart apple such as Braeburn, rather than a sweet one such as Gala, when making this tart. You can, of course, make your own too if you prefer, but I love the convenience of tinned caramel. Caramel: I use a tin of caramel when making this tart, just for ease. You want to keep the whole mixture as cold as possible throughout the whole process of making pastry. Ice cold water: make sure to use cold water when making pastry.Eggs: yolks in the pastry add richness and flavour.Make sure the butter is cold when making the shortcrust pastry. Butter: I use unsalted butter to make the pastry for my caramel apple tart.Icing/Powdered Sugar: for sweetening the shortcrust pastry.Flour: I use plain flour for my pastry in this tart as it I do not want any rise in it.And putting them into a wonderful short pastry shell? Just heavenly! Serve on its own, or with some pouring cream or vanilla ice cream for a truly wonderful and indulgent treat! What ingredients do I need to make a caramel apple tart? I love pairing tart apples with sweet caramel during this time of year. Whether in a cake, a cupcake, a pie or even simply as caramel apples, there is no denying its truly a match made in heaven! My caramel apple tart combines beautiful buttery pastry, smooth caramel and tart apples in a stunningly striking bake! This apple rose tart may take a little effort to put together, but requires just a few ingredients and is sure to wow anyone who gets to indulge in and enjoy it! A seasonal favouriteĪutumn is the season for apples, and caramel is just such a wonderful pairing with it, in all its forms.

Bad boys for life netflix3/1/2024 Violence here has an impact, and it’s brutal and ugly, and a constant reminder of the very thing that is creating Mike and Marcus’ midlife crisis. The violence in Bad Boys for Life is less cartoony than in Bay’s film, in which we were told to believe that civilians weren’t killed in massive freeway chases with flipping cars, but it is bloodier. But the action movie has evolved, and box office numbers are a testament to the fact that we need it to. With Rambo: Last Blood and Terminator: Dark Fate, there was a lot of detail placed on old school action. But this team, portrayed by Vanessa Hudgens, Charles Melton, Alexander Ludwig and Paola Nuñez, are a welcome addition whose presence only adds to Mike and Marcus’ arcs and forces them to see the need for their evolution as police officers and people, while also adding a variety to the action. History tells us that we’re in for an annoying brood that will take away from the main characters, and create needless confrontation of old and new school tactics. In terms of passing the buck onto new characters, there’s a moment of concern in which a team of young, whip-smart, tech-based police officers, dubbed AMMO, are introduced. Rather, their ideological differences, while often played for humor, come down to a shared fear of death. The difference between the two men doesn’t simply come down to the “wunza” subgenre coined by Roger Ebert, i.e., one’s a white guy and one’s a black guy, or one’s street smart and one’s a company man. But Bad Boys for Life, surprisingly, like Creed (2015), Halloween (2018), and the underseen Terminator: Dark Fate (2019), force Mike and Marcus to grapple with hard questions and tough decisions about what it means to stick by someone while also wanting more for them. While other legacy films like Jurassic World (2015) and Rambo: Last Blood (2019) are fun entries that serve as a new beginning or conclusion, their characters aren’t forced to change in any drastic way. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) and Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) are the most egregious offenders of this tactic. While the notion of legacy often puts a nice sheen of promotional paint on sequels that arrive decades after their predecessors, they rarely deal with what that term means, or they pass the buck onto new characters. Bad Boys for Life isn’t simply more of the same, it’s a maturation of Bayhem, and a gold standard within the current resurgence of legacy sequels. But the Miami of the bad boys has changed, and this is a film with its own voice, one that respects what has come before, but isn’t limited by it. There are homages to Bay’s style, and the easy-flowing banter of the first film’s writer, George Gallo, are still present. This new energy was exactly what the franchise needed. Belgian directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, billed as Adil and Bilall, take over for Bay with a script from Chris Bremner and Peter Craig. Immorality, lawfulness and what it really means to ride together and die together are all challenged and placed under a microscope in a way we wouldn’t have believed was possible from a long-gestating third entry. Now, almost 25 years removed from that first film, and 17 from its sequel, the bad boys, Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence), are back.

The Seatruck Update also introduces two new biomes in the form of Deep Twisty Bridges and Thermal Spires. Unknown Worlds says that more modules will be added in the future. Alongside the cockpit cab, which gives the rest of truck power and life support, there's a mobile fabricator, a storage module for carting around equipment and supplies, plus an aquarium, used to gather live specimens out in the field. In the current build, up to three modules can be attached to the Seatruck, each one slowing the vehicle down just a little more. Its main feature, one that makes it unique in Subnautica's vehicle line-up, is that it's entirely modular.īuilt with the Mobile Vehicle Bay, you begin with a snug little cab (complete with cockpit and in-built reversing camera), then can start constructing other modules, each offering different utilities, which can be manually coupled and uncoupled as your whims dictate. The biggie, of course, is the Seatruck, an underwater vehicle that's so incredibly nifty that I already want to see it migrate over to the base game. Obviously, if you're saving yourself for final release, be aware that the following could be considered major spoilers. Unknown World's standalone expansion entered early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store at the end of January, and today's update - known, appropriately enough, as the Seatruck Update - brings the first major additions to the in-development game. All this unfolds on a previously unseen part of ocean planet 4546B - one that, as the game's subtitle very heavily implies, is a little bit icier, and a little bit chillier, than anything seen before. Subnautica: Below Zero, developer Unknown World's standalone expansion to its brilliant underwater survival adventure, just got its first big Early Access development update - and, with it, the mighty Seatruck!īelow Zero, if it's somehow managed to pass you by, takes place one year after the events of the main game, and challenges players to survive a disaster at an alien research station.

Gothic 1 weapons3/1/2024 This fixed progression also gives you a reason to visit the same location more than once. Kill what creatures you can, get better gear and return later. So if you see some creature that smacks you in one hit, than just F9 and forget about them for now. Anything outside of your 'category' that you can handle is gonna give you a bad time. You fight very-very easy stuff, then not so easy, then average, then hard, and so on. Game has a somewhat "layered" progression. Makes all the difference between being lowly digger and being a walking ultimate weapon. Top priority in my opinion, along with getting better gear. Not only does it makes you swing faster (and gives more damage from swings? I don't remember, but I think it does), but it actually gives you more control in form of making inputs feel much less clunky. Weapon skills like one-handed/two-handed have a huuuuuge effect on how well you perform in fights, and it does so by literary changing how your character holds and swings weapons. I never increased stats unless I get some weapon with stat requirement. So much so that I don't actually remember if strength and dexterity affect your damage. I personally found better weapons and armor to be more much more important than stats like strength or dexterity when it comes to damage and survival. Just hoping that I can add something helpful from my experience. I skimmed through the discussion so sorry if I repeat a lot of what other people said before.

Chatbot api integration3/1/2024 Well, that’s because they’re the most common ways to integrate web-based services. Most probably you’ve heard of REST and SOAP, when the subject is APIs. With an integrated API, you can access it directly in the bot without opening another web page. Imagine you are talking to the bot and need access to your Client Area. In this case, when integrated with chatbots, they allow the expansion of the system functionalities. These interfaces define what kind of requests can be made, how they can be made, which data formats can be used, etc. What is API Integration?ĪPI stands for “application programming interface”.Īn API is a computing interface that allows information sharing between different software components. The NLP is responsible for processing the information, in this case, the language. Machine Learning is the area responsible for the system’s learning. These technologies are Machine Learning and NLP (Natural Language Processing), and they allow the system to have a “natural” conversation with a person. That is, they have more associated technologies that allow them to learn and understand the human language. On the other hand, chatbots with AI are more complicated systems. Generally, they’re ruled by decision trees, where the user clicks on the option he wants until he gets the answer. It’s with it that chatbots and email bots become “intelligent” and understand what is asked of them.ĭon’t know what email bots are? Find out everything here!Ĭhatbots that do not have AI are more basic systems. It can be considered the most used word when talking about process automation. What does AI do in a Chatbot?Īrtificial Intelligence is a more recurring theme these days. These agents can use Artificial Intelligence or not. In short, a chatbot is a chatting agent that helps optimize your company’s service level. What is a Chatbot?īefore we get to the integration, it’s necessary to know what a chatbot is. Get ready to learn how a chatbot with API integration can improve your service delivery. And that’s when an API integration comes in. It’s necessary to make them more complex. Chatbots that answer the most frequent questions are no longer enough. Sendbird's chatbot API is the perfect middleware for online businesses to reap the benefits of new LLMs’ capabilities that meet customers' needs.Companies are more demanding with the services they offer. That’s in addition to the tremendous operational efficiency gained from replacing human intervention with the efficient resolution of support requests and deflection with chatbots.īusinesses leveraging the power of social interactions with in-app chat are poised to take full advantage of this game-changing technology to enhance sales, support, and user experiences. By taking context into account with first-party data-driven prompts and producing conversational messages, conversational AI chatbots open a new world of possibilities to increase engagement, user satisfaction, and retention. The sky is the limit if businesses move away from legacy scripted chatbots and AI engines like Dialogflow, which have limited abilities to understand context and questions that were out of the scope of training data. With the advancement of generative AI, businesses have an unprecedented opportunity to reinvent their chatbot experience. Unlocking engagement, CSAT, and retention with Sendbird's generative AI chatbot API

STUDY TIP: The models will appear all over the exam, in both multiple choice and FRQs. For example, for nearly four centuries, Africans were enslaved and brought to the Americas. Usually, they migrated by choice, wanting to leave a place of poverty or persecution or warfare in order to live in a place with economic opportunity, religious liberty, political freedom, and peace. Why People Move: People have always been on the move. However, in recent decades, population growth has leveled off in the prosperous countries. As a result of these new patterns, the global population has exploded. The number of births per woman has decreased, but children are more likely to survive to adulthood. However, in the past two centuries, advances in public health, medical care, and the economy have enabled people to live longer. Population Changes: For most of history, women typically gave birth to many children, but so few children survived to adulthood that the total human population grew slowly. Some factors are human: people might want to move to take a job or to be close to family. Some are physical: people want to be near sources of food and water, and where the climate is not too extreme. People decide where to live based on many factors. For example, the spatial distribution of children will influence where a community will build a new school. Where people live, whether spread out or in small communities, or concentrated in large cities, affects how they relate to each other, what demands they place on the environment, and what decisions they make as a community. The distribution of people influences all other elements of human geography. The demographic characteristics of populations, such as their birth rates, death rates, and life expectancy, are key to understanding population change. Geographers seek to understand the distribution of people on earth, why people decide to live where they do, why they migrate from one place to another, and the effects of migration. Who was simon pegg in star wars3/1/2024 In 2020, Tran’s co-star John Boyega said that nonwhite “Star Wars” characters were “ pushed to the side. Speaking of Simon Pegg, a while back he accidentally let slip that James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, would be playing a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. “Their words seemed to confirm what growing up as a woman and a person of color already taught me: that I belonged in margins and spaces, valid only as a minor character in their lives and stories,” Tran wrote. Tran recalled the experience in a 2018 New York Times op-ed. “I feel terrible about being a part of that.”īest was not the only “Star Wars” actor to receive excessive online hate from fans.Īs Pegg noted, “ ‘Star Wars,’ there’s suddenly a little bit more diversity and everyone’s kicking off about it and it’s really sad, you know?”įollowing her role as Rose Tico in “The Last Jedi,” actor Kelly Marie Tran got so many hateful online comments that she removed her social media posts. From Simon Pegg in The Force Awakens to Joseph Gordon-Levitt in The Last Jedi to John Williams in The Rise of Skywalker, we have gathered up all the celebrity cameos in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. “I’ve apologized for the things I said about, you know, Jar Jar Binks because of course there was a f- actor involved and he was getting a lot of flack and it wasn’t, you know, a camp rabbit, it was a human being, and because it got a lot of hate, he suffered,” Pegg said. |
