Universe sandbox 2 nosteam2/29/2024 ![]() Simulate GravityN-body simulation at almost any speed using Newtonian mechanics. Universe Sandbox includes the desktop version and a VR mode with support for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift+Touch, and Windows Mixed Reality. It merges real-time gravity, climate, collision, and material interactions to reveal the beauty of our universe and the fragility of our planet. Universe Sandbox is a realistic physics-based space simulator that allows you to create, destroy, and interact on an unimaginable scale. We've already added support for sharing simulations on Steam Workshop and plan to support custom models and textures in the future to open up even more doors to the community's creativity.” We also add simulations and features based on community requests. We make an effort to address every issue that comes our way. “We actively seek community feedback from our in-game feedback form, our forums, Discord, and social media.Ĭommunity feedback helps us prioritize our long list of planned features and focus on fixing the worst bugs and issues. “The price may increase as we add major features in the future.” ![]() ![]() We look forward to continuing to improve the experience in the future.” The VR version of Universe Sandbox now nearly matches the features and functionality of the desktop version. Because it is a large-scale sandbox, though, it does have its share of bugs and could use polish in some areas. We've fixed most of the serious issues and have made a lot of progress on optimizations for a range of hardware. “It is already a fully-featured, stable, and smooth-running simulator. More intuitive VR experience with features equal to desktop version VR matches the features and functionality of the desktop version.Language localization Support for 20+ languages now included.Steam Workshop support Sharing sims on Workshop now included.Additional materials to construct planets, moons, and atmospheres.More dynamic terraforming & improved climate simulation.“Some of the features and improvements we'd like to add: We have a long list of features and improvements that we're very excited about implementing and that will keep us busy for a long time to come.” “Building a universe simulator is a job that's never complete, and we plan to continue full development after leaving Early Access. We're constantly working on (and releasing) new features, improvements, and bug fixes.” We're proud of what we’ve created, and we know many fans are eager to explore and experiment with the universe. As I'm sure you are already working on accomplishing, I would highly advise against pulling the same bait and switch tactics you did with the first game devs.“Universe Sandbox is in active development and has become a fully-featured, stable, and smooth-running space simulator. For instance, I would absolutely refund Universe Sandbox 1 if possible, but can't. Good thing Steam rolled out the easy refunds because now those who seek to abuse the system will be in for quite a disappointment. Call it however you want but companies are abusing early access more and more recently in order to turn a quick profit on unfamiliar player bases. Who ever came up with this early access idea really struck gold being able to persuade people into buying an unfinished game and any criticism whatsoever is directly handed to the fact that it is an "early build". Theres a reason game alphas and betas are almost always internal only (and thus non-profitized). and suggestion process, as well as bugs and testing Originally posted by Alidar:Unfortunately there are too many people out there that buy a game while it is still in the Alpha and Beta stages without any idea what Alphas and Betas really are, most of them just think that a game being in Alpha or Beta means that they get special early access to a finished product before other people, they have no idea that Betas are unfinished testing products, and that Alphas in most cases are barely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ products that in most cases manufacturers usually only test in house, but in the last few years due to limited resources in the industry, have been giving potential customers to assist with in order to not just test new features and weed out bugs like in a Beta, but too also help in the Idea.
